- Additionally to these terms and conditions you may be required to accept policies as required by each particular program during your registration.
Media Consent and Release Policy
We follow the Skate Canada Privacy Policy. By registering with Quesnel Figure Skating Club participants will be registered with Skate Canada. Participant names will be published on membership lists circulated to Skate Canada, Quesnel Figure Skating Club Coaches and Board members. Helmet Policy
All CanSkate participants up to and including Stage 5 must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet while on the ice. Please note a front 'cage' is recommended for skaters under stage six. This policy also applies to all other Skate Canada programs, therefore anyone who lacks good control/balance when skating forward, backward and has difficulty stopping, as well as maneuvering around obstacles on the ice must wear a CSA approved hockey helmet.
Refund Policy
Refunds will be offered for program fees at a pro-rated rate less an administration fee up to $50 during the first 2 weeks. After the first two weeks, refunds will only be given with a doctors note, less an administration fee up to $50, and at the discretion of the Club. Please note we are unable to refund Skate Canada insurance fees. All private coaching bills must be paid in full before a refund will be issued.
Please contact our office for refunds. Refunds will be provided by cheque or program credits.
Registration Policy
All coaching bills and outstanding club invoices must be paid in full before registering for new programs. This includes regular season, spring and winter ice, off ice, and all other programs.
Skate and Helmet Rental Policy
Skates and helmets are available, in limited sizes and quantities, to borrow from the club with registration in a QFSC Program. For the 2023/2024 season and moving forward, there will be a non-refundable $15 (CanSkate) or $30 (all other programs) Equipment Maintenance Fee charged at the time of rental.
Registration Payments
Canskate and CanPowerSkate fees plus the Skate Canada insurance fee must be paid in full before Canskaters and CanPowerSkaters will be permitted on the ice.
All of our year long programs (all programs except Canskate and CanPowerSkate) may be paid in full or by monthly installments. Payment of the full program or of the first monthly installment plus the Skate Canada insurance fee must be paid before skaters will be permitted on the ice.
Payments may be made by credit card through Uplifter, or you may pay by cash, cheque or etransfer. Payments by cash or cheque must be provided to a board member. Please do not give cash or cheques to a coach. All cheques should be made out to the Quesnel Figure Skating Club.
Please note: We do not provide change so if you chose to pay by cash, please provide exact change only.
Payment by etransfer may be made to quesnelfsc@hotmail.com. Please indicate in the comment section your skater's name and which program they are registering for so we can accept the payment in Uplifter and send you a receipt.
